The method involves having a forging press which can be transformed between saddling a blacksmith's tools and shifted between a transforming steps by a manipulator to a longitudinal axis. During forging, an image is provided and conveyed to a process computer which is then evaluated as a graphic data in such a way that the distribution of the intensity of the deformation as well as the temperatures is computed with the help of an analytic, statistic or numeric mathematical algorithm.
