PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood purifier comprising highly water-permeable hollow-fiber membrane for the treatment of chronic nephrosis, in which a leakage amount of protein of the hollow-fiber membrane and blood purifier in the treatment are independent of the membrane area. SOLUTION: The blood purifier of the invention incorporates the hollow-fiber membrane of pure-water permeability of 150 ml/m<SP>2</SP>/hr/mmHg to 1500 ml/m<SP>2</SP>/hr/mmHg at 37°C and average membrane width of 10μm to 50μm. The protein leakage amount rate is between 1.1 and 1.5 in terms of the ratio of flow rate (ml/min) to the membrane area(m<SP>2</SP>) of 6 with respect to the protein leakage amount rate as this ratio is 10, when the cow blood of hematocrit level 25-30% and protein concentration 6-7g/dl is flowed at 200 ml/min in the blood purifier integrated with the hollow-fiber membrane for filtering.
