The apparatus for measuring the welding current in a resistance welding machine comprises a current detector (2), memory data store (7), an interval setting device (8), current data selection circuit (9), data comparator (11) and a current value or waveform display unit (12). Value of welding curent are detected and stored during a welding cycle. After melting values stored for any partic. interval of the welding cycle are recalled from store, composed to preset values and the composed results displayed for evaluation. The apparatus is useful in resistace welding and particularly as a current measuring device allowing the measurement of current or display of current waveforms in a given cycle interval specified after the end of welding.
