摘要 |
PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a large-sized photodetector in the radiation image information reader of a cylindrical scanning system, to prevent the undue fluctuation in the detected light quantity of stimulating light and to realize the simplification of the constitution and cost reduction. CONSTITUTION:A condenser lens 23 mounted on a spinner 21 for cylindrical scanning is positioned in the optical path of the stimulating light (laser beam) 10 reflected by a deflection mirror 22 to converge the stimulating light 10 on a stimulative phosphor sheet 2 and to converge the stimulating light 24 emitted from this stimulative phosphor sheet 2 in a prescribed converging position. A photodetector (photomultiplier) 26 is then arranged in the state that a photodetecting surface 26a exists in the position where the light of the central wavelength of the stimulating light 24 converges.
