PURPOSE: To obtain an inorg. panel uniform in thickness and density by inclining the shaft of a brushing roll brushing the surface of the inorg. panel raw material mat arranged on a feed plate in a feed direction. CONSTITUTION: The shafts A of brushing rolls 14A, 14B are inclined at an angleθsmaller than 90 deg. in the feed direction shown by an arrow. Therefore, the raw material 12A of the surface part of a mat 12 is scraped toward the both side parts of the mat 12 as shown by an arrow by the reverse rotatory powers of the brushing rolls 14A, 14B. As a result, the density of both side parts of the mat 12 becomes larger than that of the central part thereof. When the mat 12 thus shaped is compressed, push-out force is exerted on both side parts of the mat 12 laterally but both side parts are hard to be pushed out because larger than the central part in compression rate, that is, density and, even if both side parts are slightly pushed out, the thickness and density of both side parts become almost same to those of the central part.
