The use of an adhesive film for fixing magnetic strip- or chip-cards to a substrate, especially a sheet of paper, which is used like a label which is generally no larger than the strip or card to be fixed, stuck on the substrate with an adhesive coating, and holds the strip or card on the other side of the film by means of adhesion forces. The adhesive film consists of polyethylene, polypropylene, polyester and/or PVC film with a thickness of 0.03-0.1 mm, preferably 0.7 mm.
