<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To balance carrying forces in both sides of an advancing direction and to prevent the oblique traveling of a medium even in the one-sided structure of a roller pair by providing an idle roller. SOLUTION: In a medium carrying device for carrying a medium along a carrying path 4, which is provided with a plurality of roller 8 pairs arranged in a direction orthogonal to a carrying direction to rotate the medium in the carrying path 4 in its held state and carrying the medium, if the roller 8 pairs are disposed asymmetrically with respect to the center axis of the medium parallel to the carrying direction, an idle roller 9 is provided in a side where a carrying force is relatively reduced, and the idle roller 9 is rotated in the carrying direction in contact with only one side of the medium.</p> |
