<p>A digital video disc substrate comprising a polycarbonate is herein disclosed in which a main chain has a structure represented by the general formula (I) <CHEM> and a terminal group represented by the general formula (II) <CHEM> at least 25 mol% of this terminal group is a group represented by the formula (III) or (IV) <CHEM> and a viscosity-average molecular weight is in the range of 10,000 to 17,000, preferably 12,500 to 14,500.</p> |
