<p>The meta-data, as defined in SMPTE 298M and 335M buried in a video voice material signal to be recorded in a magnetic tape (30), are extracted, and either these extracted meta-data or the meta-data generated from the information other than the material signal are written in a non-contact type memory tag (37). As a result, without reproducing the material recorded actually in the recording media, the meta-data on the material recorded in the recording media can be obtained to help a retrieval or a confirmation.</p> |
