PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding device capable of improving stacking performance of a sheet material with simple structure. SOLUTION: A document conveying device (paper feeding device) 3 is provided with a guide member 34 for regulating a width direction of a document 10 stacked on a stacking part 33. The guide member 34 is equipped with a base part 36 provided on the stacking part 33 movably to a direction perpendicular to a document conveying direction X, a rising side part 37 forming a regulating surface 70 abutted to the document 10 and regulating a width direction Y, and a roof part 38 provided on the rising side part 37 almost vertically and preventing floating of the document 10 from the stacking part 33. The regulating surface 70 comprises first regulating surface 70a and 70b parallel to the document conveying direction X, and a pinched-off surface 70c tilted to the document conveying direction X.
