<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate including an adhesive layer, a birefrigent layer and a transparent protective film provided in this order on at least one surface of a polarizer, which can be applied to a liquid crystal panel while minimizing display unevenness. <P>SOLUTION: In the polarizing plate including the adhesive layer, the birefrigent layer, and the transparent protective film provided in this order on at least one surface of the polarizer, the birefrigent layer satisfies nx≥ny≥nz (nx, ny and nz are refractive indexes in X-axial, Y-axial and Z-axial directions, respectively, in which X-axis is a direction where in-plane refractive index is maximized, Y-axis is a direction perpendicular to the X-axis, and Z-axis is a thickness direction), the transparent protective film contains a (meth)acrylic resin having a glutarimide unit and a (meth)acrylate unit, and the polarizing plate has an in-plane phase difference of <40 nm, and a thickness directional phase difference of <80 nm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
