PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of the driving efficiency in a crank assembly in which a sprocket member is movable in a rotation axis direction.SOLUTION: A crank assembly 10 for a bicycle includes: a crank member 12; a sprocket member 14; a slide mechanism 16; and a backlash prevention mechanism 22. The sprocket member 14 has a rotation center axis C. The slide mechanism 16 connects the sprocket member 14 with the crank member 12 so that the sprocket member 14 and the crank member 12 may slide in a rotation center axis C direction and integrally rotate. The backlash prevention mechanism 22 prevents backlash of the crank member 12 and the sprocket member 14.
