METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PROCESSING DOCUMENT

PURPOSE: To provide a document processing method and device capable of extracting a keyword for document data and translating the keyword into a prescribed language. CONSTITUTION: A word segmenting part 3 segments a word from document data stored in a document storing part 1, a preword/post word segmenting part 4 segments a preword and a post word arranged before and after the word concerned and a keyword extracting part 7 extracts a keyword for the document data by the use of a statistic procedure. A dictionary referring part 8 translates the keyword extracted by the extracting part 7 into a prescribed language based upon cooccurrence relation in each preword and post word while referring to a translation dictionary stored in a translation dictionary storing part 9.
