PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a recording paper for ink-jet which can effectively prevent cockling from being generated by a convenient means without thickening thickness of a paper. SOLUTION: In the recording paper for ink-jet in which a coating layer is provided on a base paper obtained by wet paper making of a fiber composition, the recording paper for ink-jet characterized by arranging the short sides of the recording paper cut into rectangular single slip units along the flow direction (the MD direction) of the above described paper making treatment and arranging the long sides of the recording paper along the direction intersecting at right angles (the CD direction) of the flow is provided. When a paper prepared by a wet paper making process is cut and when the paper is cut by inclining the long side direction of the paper by a specified inclination from the MD direction, as this inclination increases, as elongation in water in the short side direction of the paper decreases to suppress elongation, when cutting is performed by arranging the short side direction of the recording paper which is printing direction to the MD direction, even when the recoding paper with an ordinary thickness is used, the cockling can be effectively prevented from being generated. |
