PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monochromatic or multi-color developing heat-sensitive recording material by which a multi-stage shading image with high sensitivity and high contrast or a clear multi-color image with excellent color separating properties (with no color mixing) can be formed even though the constitution is simple and which exhibits excellent adhesiveness and water resistance. SOLUTION: The-heat-sensitive recording material characterized by having a monochromic heat-sensitive recording layer in which when color is developed by changing applied energy in low-high energies to add heat, there exists an energy region where color developing density becomes approximately constant before the energy reaches the saturated reflection density or the multi-color heat-sensitive recording layer containing an electron donative dye precursor consisting of at least one electron donative dye precursor respectively encapsulated in a different microcapsule and at least one electron donative dye precursor which develops a color with a different color shade from one encapsulated in the microcapsule and is under a condition of solid fine particles and an electron receptive compound and providing the heat-sensitive recording layer which is cured and crosslinked with a crosslinking agent, is provided. |
