<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle running information gathering device which is improved in operation efficiency and improved in the reliability of data by stopping a buzzer from sounding when a data card in operation is not inserted and generating no unnecessary non-insertion data. SOLUTION: An overland transportation mode flag ON showing overland transportation when read out of a setting card 20a by a reader writer part R/W is stored in an FROM. If the overland transportation mode flag ON is detected during the running of a vehicle having no data card loaded, the buzzer BS is disabled to be driven and an LED is driven to illuminate for warning. Therefore, even when no data card is loaded during overload transportation to a maker or dealer before the delivery of this vehicle running information gathering device, no buzzer sound is generated, so an operator is not annoyed very much. Further, no non-insertion data is generated in operation unlike before, so no wrong record is passed to a user.</p> |
