摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved heat resisting material, used in a rocket motor or an airframe structure requiring protection against extremely high temperature. <P>SOLUTION: This invention provides a heat insulation material suitable for use in a motor case of a rocket or an airframe surface. The heat insulation material includes a mixture of cork particles, two or more fibers and a siloxane-base binder. The cork particles, the binder and the fibers are contained at mass ratio of 10 to 100 parts binder, 0.1 to 50 parts fiber to 1 to 100 parts cork.
