The machine for treating hollow work-pieces, such as tubes, sleeves or pipes, in a continuous flow comprises a printing unit (10) which has an impression cylinder (11) at least one forme cylinder (12) interacting therewith, and a driven doctor cylinder (18) as the inking cylinder from which the ink is transferred to the forme cylinder via one or more interposed cylinders. In this machine, provision is made for the drive of the doctor cylinder (18) to consist of a dedicated electric motor (27) which is independent of the electric current of the overall drive of the printing unit (10). <IMAGE>
