PURPOSE:To improve the responsiveness of a vehicle for the steering of a steering wheel by expressing the transfer function of the ratio of a front wheel steering angle to a rear wheel steering angle in the form of first order/first order, and by setting the position, where the angle of side slip of a vehicle becomes zero, as the initial position so that the rear wheel control can be carried out. CONSTITUTION:An actuator 9 has an electromagnetic proportional type pressure control valve 12, and it is so contrived that this valve 12 is controlled by a controller 17, and that the signals from a vehicle speed sensor 19, and a steering angle sensor 18 are input into the controller 17. The controller 17 controls the rear wheel steering angle delta1(s) to the front wheel steering angle delta1(s) on the basis of the following expression: delta1(s)/delta1(s)=K+T1.S/1+T2.S, where S denotes the Laplace operator and K, T1, and T2 denote control constants. Thus, the responsiveness of the vehicle for the steering of a steering wheel can be improved, and high-speed stability and low-speed agility conforming to the character of the vehicle can be obtained. |
