<p>PURPOSE:To remarkably promote the heat exchange between a hydrogen storage alloy and a heat-transfer part and to drastically increase the hydrogen occluding and liberating rates in the method in which the powdery alloy is heated or cooled to occlude or liberate hydrogen by vibrating the alloy. CONSTITUTION:A powdery hydrogen storage alloy is placed in a vessel, a heat- transfer part is provided inside or outside the vessel, heat is given or received to and from the heat-transfer part to heat or cool the alloy in the vessel to occlude or liberate hydrogen. In this case, the alloy in the vessel is vibrated. the acceleration of 100gal to 50G is ordinarily used for the vibration, however the acceleration of 500gal to 10G is preferably used. In this method, the vibration is changed by detecting the yield of hydrogen or the pressure in the vessel, and the hydrogen yield or the pressure in the vessel is controlled.</p> |
