<p>PURPOSE:To increase the degree of accuracy and, in addition, to enable analysis of the quantity of C and the quantity of S in a wide component range without changing conditions of measurement, by providing a weight correcting means for measured values and a means of correcting a working curve in accordance with the measured values subjected to the weight correction. CONSTITUTION:A sample weighed by a balance is put in a crucible made of ceramics and burnt in an oxygen flow. At this time, carbon and sulfur in the sample are turned into CO2, CO and SO2 and they are carried by the oxygen flow and led to a non- dispersive infrared detector (measuring element). Herein the concentration of gas is measured and the quantities of C and S are calculated from the concentration of gas. Next, the entire concentration areas of C and S are divided by a weight correcting means, and with a difference between the average measured values of C and S in a sample of a standard weight in each discrete concentration area and the average measured values of C and S of a sample of an arbitrary weight smaller than the standard weight, used as a deviation number, the weight correction of the measured values is executed. By a working curve correcting means, subsequently, correction of a working curve is executed in accordance with the measured values subjected to the weight correction, on the basis of a plurality of working curve coefficients corresponding to the concentration areas of C and S.</p> |
