The system has a cold air circulation circuit to the rooms or the outside, a main heat exchanger providing heated air to the rooms, adjacent heat exchanger for hot water storage tank and third heating circuit common to first exchanger with valve to control flow through first and third circuits to give priority to water or room heating. The system has outside air intake (1), fresh air room outlet (2) and room forced circulation intake and outlet (3,4) with air heat exchanger (6) between the two circuits, filters (5,9) and fan (8) also auxiliary electrical heater (7). A coarse filter (10) and fan (11) together with system cold air heat exchanger (12) and fan (13) complete air flow circuits. The heat pump comprises compressor (17), heat exchangers (18,19), expansion valve (20) and circuit switching valve (21). The room convection heat exchanger (19) is run at a higher temperature than hot water heat exchanger (18) or air cooler (12) and water is circulated by a pump (25). A second pump (28) circulates water through the hot water storage tank (31) and hot water heat exchanger, controlled by a valve (30). A three-way valve (37) separates or compounds the water flow as required.
