PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce labor for the setting work of device configuration information and to prevent a setting error as well in a system configuration to use plural array disk devices. SOLUTION: In a system environment for managing the service processors (SVP) of plural array disk devices (A) 404-(C) 406 by connecting them through a LAN 403 to a remote console 401, when adding a new array disk device (D) 502 to the system environment, the configuration information of the existent similar array disk device (A) 404 such as access limit information is fetched into the remote console 401 and after editing or the like is applied as needed, the information is set in the new array disk device (D) 502 as configuration information.
