<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system restraining power voltage at start of fuel-gas supply, correctly judging that the gas at a fuel electrode is replaced by fuel-gas. <P>SOLUTION: When starting the fuel cell system, a controller 2 controls a compressor 21 in a state of not supplying oxidant gas to an air electrode 1b, controls the opening level of a hydrogen pressure control valve 12 for supplying hydrogen gas to a hydrogen electrode 1b, and makes the fuel cell consume the power voltage at a preparatory load 4 so as to make the power voltage of the fuel cell 1 detected by a voltage sensor 3 get to a prescribed voltage or lower, until it is judged that the gas at the hydrogen electrode 1a is replaced by hydrogen gas. Further, the controller takes the amount of hydrogen consumed by the electrochemical reaction at the fuel cell 1 into consideration when it is judged that the gas at the hydrogen electrode 1a is replaced by hydrogen gas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
