An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a method for driving the same are provided to prevent the induction of DC voltage by supplying data voltages having different levels to first and second domains within a pixel region, thereby preventing afterimage. An LCD comprises a first thin film transistor, a first pixel electrode connected to the first thin film transistor, a second thin film transistor, and a second pixel electrode connected to the second thin film transistor. The first thin film transistor is switched on by a first scan signal. A first data voltage(Vd1) is supplied to the first pixel electrode via the first thin film transistor. The second thin film transistor is switched on by a second scan signal, which sequentially follows the first scan signal. A second data voltage(Vd2) is supplied to the second pixel electrode via the second thin film transistor. A level of the first data voltage is different from a level of the second data voltage.
