PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contribute to compactification and large capacity by securing a gap between an outer case and a water tub efficiently, while achieving reinforcement of side plates by forming concave-shaped or convex-shaped throttle parts at the side plates of the outer case.SOLUTION: A washing machine includes: an outer case having left and right side plates; a water tub disposed via an elastic support mechanism in a state where a front opening part is facing frontward in the outer case; and a rotary tub disposed in the water tub in a rotatable manner and rotated by driving means. Throttle parts for reinforcement which are concave-shaped for protruding to the inside of the outer case or convex-shaped for protruding to the outside of the outer case are provided on the side plates. In the neighborhood where a gap between an inner surface of the side plate and an outer surface of a peripheral wall part of the water tub becomes minimum on the side plate, the concave-shaped throttle parts protruding to the inside of the outer case are not provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
