A group of bags (2) of plastics film material, each having a top edge opening for filling, are joined at their top edges to form a bundle (1). Each bag is detachable from the bundle along a tear line (3), with tear band (4) provided with a suspension opening (7) for suspending the bundle from a support.The tear bands are adherably attached to each other.The bundle is formed by joining the top edges of the bags, e.g. by pressing together along a heat-welded line (5). The heat-welded portion extends across the full width of the top edge, and occupies about one-third of the depth of the top edge strip above the tear lines, with its lower edge close to the upper edge(s) of the suspension hole(s). ADVANTAGE - Low-cost connection method, giving easy detachment and opening of bags.
