Track division measurement method for hard disk drive

The method involves calculating (104) track divisions of a hard disk through heads and zones. The calculated track divisions are compared with a reference track division (114), as they are determined by measurement and mean value calculation of all disks in the hard disk drive. The corresponding track division is updated (126) to the reference track division, if no differences are detected between the calculated track division and the reference track division. The corresponding track division is updated to the calculated track divisions which are measured through heads or through zones, if any differences are detected between the calculated track division and the reference track division.
