Energy-saving electrical machine heating system

A process is disclosed for keeping warm an electric machine during its standstill times. Considerable energy savings are achieved in that the temperature of the machine is measured at fixed time intervals and in that the machine is heated only when the difference between the machine temperatures measured at the beginning and end of a time interval falls below a certain level.
