METHOD FOR TRANSFERRING UTILITY OPTICAL SIGNALS AND OPTICAL-LINE NETWORK

According to the present invention, the control for the transmission of utility optical signals on the different paths of an optical transmission device is characterised in that: the optical signals are injected into the paths or extracted therefrom using signal sources (Tx) and signal collectors (Rx); at least one portion of the optical paths is made in the shape of regulating paths which include coupling nodes (OCC) and through which a switching operation can be carried out onto a replacement path when one regulating path is faulty; control signals are further transmitted together with the utility optical signals, wherein said control signals are transmitted in the shape of segments and in a bi-directional manner while their estimation is used for the switching operations between the paths; at least two types of control signals (LS-HOT, LS-COLD) can be transmitted, wherein the first type (LS-HOT) represents an indicator corresponding to an intact path while the second (LS-COLD) represents an indicator corresponding to a faulty path; and an optional switching is carried out onto a replacement path only if a control signal of the first type (LS-HOT) has been emitted on the regulating path before a fault is detected. This method provides for a decentralised switching of the paths and thus eliminates useless switching operations which do not improve the transmission.
