PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter with high dimensional precision and high color reproducibility by forming a sintered body containing no sintering residue even sintering at a relatively low sintering temperature by adding a copolymer comprising a monomer with a specified structure as a monomer component to a composition as a binder resin. SOLUTION: A copolymer, for example, (metha)acrylic acid-2-methoxyethyl (metha)acrylate copolymer or the like, comprising a monomer having formula I or II (R1, R2 are each H atom, methyl group; R3 is a 1-4C alkoxyl group; X is -(CH2 )m-; and (m) is integer of 1-10) as a monomer component is added as a binder resin to a color filter composition for a plasma display panel. The binder resin is soluble in an alkali solution and a film forming material layer is formed on a supporting film from the composition paste produced by adding an inorganic pigment, a solvent, and others to the binder resin and the material layer is transferred to a glass substrate by using the obtained transfer film and then fired to give a color filter for a plasma display panel. |
