PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to easily and exactly execute the check of the parallelism of an occlusal plane with a Camper's plane and the measurement of the distance between both planes. SOLUTION: This occlusal plane measuring instrument is constituted by mounting a standard plate 14 of a recessed shape at the front end of the vernier scale of dial vernier calipers 2 and mounting an occlusal plate 15 to be held between the maxillary and mandibular teeth in parallel onto a vernier 3. The standard plate 14 is positioned onto the Camper's plane of a patient by introducing the face into the recessed part 14a. When the way of contact of the maxillary teeth with the occlusal plate 15 is observed, whether the occlusal plane is parallel with the Camper's plane or not may be distinctly identified at a glance.
|
