PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To systematically execute high-throughput screening for combination of compounds to find the combination having an improved characteristic in a biosystem. SOLUTION: This method of screening the combination of two entities or higher degree as to a bioactivity is used a combinatorial array. The method includes (a) a step for providing the entities, (b) a step for preparing the array for the combination of the entities, (c) a step for providing a test element containing one or more of individual biological portions, (d) a step for making the array for the combination of the entities contact with the test element under the condition where contacts between the entities and the test element are surely separated respectively, (e) a step for detecting or measuring the characteristic of the test element, and (f) a step for identifying the combination of the entities generating an action to the characteristic of the test element different from actions of the entities themselves in the combination.
