PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily achieve a required cooling (pre-cooling) condition in a shorter time by increasing an amount of cool air from an intake for the cool air without introducing a decrease in strength and a decrease in the effective storing volume of a container main body in a cold service insulating container for pre-cooling. SOLUTION: In the cold service insulating container A consisting of a container main body 10A made of a synthetic resin foam and a lid 20A, a cutout 30 for taking in the cool air formed on the upper edge of a side wall of the container main body 10A is made in such a way that the bottom face part 31 becomes an inclined face wherein the inside edge 31a of the side wall is lower than the outside edge 31b of the side wall.
