An aqueous liquid composition for household use, a method for preparing the composition, a method for cleaning texture by using the composition, and a method for treating paper are provided to improve stability and to obtain complete or partial opaqueness. An aqueous liquid composition for household use comprises at least one active component selected from the group consisting of 3-50 wt% of at least one softener, 2-90 wt% of at least one anionic surfactant, a mixture of 1-25 wt% of at least one softener and 5-75 wt% of at least one anionic surfactant, and 0.1-30 wt% of at least one amphiphilic compound based on the total solid weight of the composition; and at least one cationic polymer latex comprising 0.5-6 wt% of at least one cationic monomer unit, 30-99.5 wt% of at least one aromatic monomer unit, and optionally at least one additional monomer unit based on the dry weight of polymer.
