PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-intake device of a vehicle engine capable of preventing warm air from a fan shroud from being sucked into an air-intake port by placing the air-intake port apart from the fan shroud, introducing open air into the air-intake port from a location apart from the fan shroud as much as possible, and increasing a shock-absorbing space inside an engine room in size. SOLUTION: A passage portion of an air-intake duct extends to a width direction of a vehicle to open an air-intake port in an upstream end portion of the passage portion so that the air-intake port locates adjacent to a light-axis adjusting portion. A shield plate is mounted on an outer peripheral of the passage portion, a part of which on a vehicle front side is inserted into a gap below a radiator supporting member, and a part of which on a vehicle rear side opposes an auxiliary machine.
