PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a natural evaporation type humidifier for humidifying ambient air with the natural evaporation of water while avoiding easy spill of the water stored in a container even during vibration or overturn. SOLUTION: The humidifier 10 comprises the container 14 storing water, a humidifying element 16, and a cover 20. In an opening portion of the container 14, a partition plate 18 is sealingly mounted via an O-ring 38b to prevent the leakage of the water from the opening portion of the container 14 during vibration and overturn. A through-hole 34 is formed in the partition plate 18, and an immersion piece 48 of the humidifying element 16 is fitted and inserted into the through-hole 34. The immersion piece 48 is immersed in the water in the container 14, and so the water in the container 14 wets the humidifying element 16. The immersion piece 48 is fitted to the through-hole 34 of the partition plate 18 with no gap, and so the water rarely leaks from the through-hole 34 of the partition plate 18 even when there is the vibration or overturn of the humidifier 10.
