PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque converter capable of realize performance improvement without enlargement. SOLUTION: In the torque converter, a torus 21 is formed of an impeller blade 17 of an impeller 4, a turbine blade 19 of a turbine 9, and a stator blade 20 of a stator 10. A torus inner/outer diameter ratio is a value within a diameter ratio set range of 0.55-0.68. Under a condition that the torus diameter ratio is a value within the diameter ratio set range, an outlet angle of the stator blade 20 is set as a value within an angle set range of 30-40 degrees.
