PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable displacement swash plate compressor capable of reducing power loss while developing excellent durability and suppressing vibration and resulting noise during operation.SOLUTION: In the compressor according to this invention, each second cylinder bore 23a is formed having a smaller diameter than each first cylinder bore 21a. Between a first flange 430 and the front wall of a first recessed part 21c, a first thrust bearing 35a is held, and between a second flange 431 and the rear wall of a second recessed part 23c, a second thrust bearing 35b is held. A second spring constant K2 of the second thrust bearing 35b is set to be greater than a first spring constant K1 of the first thrust bearing 35a. Thus, with an increase in the discharge capacity to cause thrust force heading to the rear end side of a driving shaft 3 to be greater than thrust force heading to the front end side of the driving shaft 3, the compressor can sufficiently support the greater thrust force.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
