According to the present invention, a printing apparatus comprises: a receiving unit configured to receive a print job of a plurality of pages from an external apparatus; an estimation unit configured to estimate a print time of the received print job; an acceptance unit configured to accept a print instruction for the print job of which the print time has been estimated, from a user; and a printing unit configured to print images of the plurality of pages onto sheets, in accordance with the accepted print instruction, wherein the estimation unit determines whether or not sizes of the sheets on which the images of the plurality of pages are to be printed change during the printing, and estimates the print time based on at least the determination. |
