PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform display or voice messaging by automatically switching to a required language without requiring a selecting operation of a user.SOLUTION: A card authentication apparatus 10-1 comprises a display section 40 and a voice notification section 42. Personal information is read from a magnetic card 12 by a magnetic card reader 26 and collated with personal information in a personal information registration section 36a by an authentication control section 32a to authenticate a user. In addition to the personal information, language information indicating a language that the user uses is recorded on the magnetic card 12. A notification control section 38 of the card authentication apparatus 10-1 switches a language used in the display section 40 and the voice notification section 42 to the language based on the language information read from the magnetic card 12 and performs display and voice notification of a message. |
