PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor watertight system in which mechanical seals are installed as a shaft seal so as to prevent water infiltrating into a motor even when tsunami comes and the motor is submerged, in which an oil pressure between the mechanical seals is adjusted to be a little higher than an outside pressure, and in case water infiltration occurs, the water filtration into a seawater pump motor can be prevented by increasing an oil pressure instantaneously.SOLUTION: An electric motor watertight system is provided which includes: a waterproof pressure sensor 12 exposed to the outside of an electric motor 1 for measuring an outside pressure; and a pressure regulating device 11 for setting a pressure of an oil 7 which is supplied being circulating between fixing rings 32a and 32b and rotation rings 31a and 31b of mechanical seals 3a and 3b to be higher than an outside pressure value by a predetermined value being interlocked with the change of the outside pressure value measured by the pressure sensor 12. |
