<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with both image forming devices only by selecting whether a carrying guide is divided and rotated, or a guide support member is installed to integrally rotate and open it even when the image forming device with a document reading device installed above it has jam access space different from that of the image forming device without the document reading device to be installed, and to allow use of the same relay carrying device in a main part. <P>SOLUTION: In the relay carrying device C for relay-carrying to other devices sheet material P delivered from the image forming device A above which the document reading device E can be installed, when the document reading device is installed, lateral sheet material removing access space is ensured at the maximum by opening a downstream side carrying passage with a first hinge part 31 provided on an upstream side as a rotational center, and dividing and rotating a part of a downstream side of the guide with a second hinge part 32 provided on the downstream side of the carrying guide 301 as the center.
