PURPOSE:To improve cooling property and lamp life by increasing the contact area between a support hole inner circumferential surface and an xenon lamp by irregularly forming the inner circumferential surface of the support hole, in holding the xenon lamp by a heat sink, thereby enhancing efficiency of electric conduction and heat conduction. CONSTITUTION:A support hole 3 corresponding to the external electrode 22 of an xenon lamp 20 is opened in a heat sink 2, and the support hole has a radial slit groove 5 and at least one notch groove 6 notched while leaving a partial connecting part. The inner circumferential surface 4 of the support hole 3 is formed into an irregular surface having a protruding part 4a crushable at fastening, and a fastening means 9 is provided. The external electrode of the xenon lamp 20 is inserted to the support hole 3, and the protruding part 4a top end of the irregular surface is pressed by the fastening of the fastening means 9 to hold the xenon lamp. |
