After the final rinse program (PhSp) for a horizontal drum washing machine an additional reproofing material (V) is added through the dispenser during a period (Ph11) and heated to 30-40 degrees and the drum alternatively rotated at 50rpm. A period of soaking (Ph12) follows for 20 minutes and then the liquor is pumped out and the drum rotated at a higher speed to remove the excess liquor.
