PURPOSE:To control the temperature rise inside a main body and prevent the misoperation and the loss of burning an equipment and the like by controlling and prohibiting the printing operation in the case an exhaust vent of a main body and an external component are sensed in the state of being close together within the given distance. CONSTITUTION:In a printer of electronic photograph type, a large exhaust vent 3 is formed on one side face of a main body 1, and a cover 2 which can be inclined with a hinge 2Y as its center is installed, by which the efficient natural ventilation during the stop time of an exhaust fan 22 is guranteed. In that case, for the purpose of sensing that the exhaust vent 3 and an external component (for example, wall face) in the state of being close together within the given distance in the vicinity of the exhaust vent 3 of the main body l, a proximity sensing means consisting of an air vent blocking sensor 25 for sensing that the exhaust vent 3 is blocked by the cover 2 is provided. In the case the state of being close together is sensed by the proximity sensing means, the printing by the printing section 20 is prohibited forcibly to prevent the temperature rise inside the main body. |
