PURPOSE:To provide a thermal recording material dispensing with a rear surface treatment agent, capable of forming an image by low heat energy because of good heat conductivity, reduced in the generation of static electricity, capable of preventing the abrasion of a head and capable of being recorded from the rear surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording material wherein a thermal color forming layer 14 containing a colorless or slightly light-colored color forming substance and an acidic substance allowing the color forming substance to develop a color under heating as main components is provided on a support 12, the support 12 is composed of a substance with a glass transition point (Tg) of 90 deg.C or higher, that is, PI (polyimide) with a thickness of 15mum. |
