PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a peak area of bivalent ion or the like and maintain that constant by using as a surfactant nonionic one, cationic one or the like in a method for manufacture of cation exchange resin wherein a monomer is suspension polymerized in a medium containing the surfactant or the like, and an exchange group is introduced into an obtained carrier. SOLUTION: This cation exchange resin is manufactured by a method wherein a monomer is suspension polymerized in a medium containing a dispersant and a surfactant. As the surfactant, a nonionic or cationic surfactant, and an anionic surfactant having a carboxyl group or a phosphate group are used. As a noncross-linkable monomer, an acrylate or the like having only one vinyl group is selected, and used by 60-90 wt.%. As a cross-linkable polyvinyl monomer, an acrylate having two or more vinyl groups is selected, and used by 10-40 wt.%. Further the carboxyl group or the like being a weak acid group is selected as an exchange group. |
