Solid bowl centrifuge has an adjustable weir consisting of an annular plate (20) connected to the centrifuge housing (18) and fixed to cover the liquid openings (13) of the centrifuge drum (10) from the outside. The plate has a passage opening which can be changed in size using an adjusting device (24). Liquid is able to flow out of the housing into a collecting chamber (15). Preferred Features: The diameter of the annular plate corresponds to the diameter of a circle which encloses all run-off openings of the centrifuge drum. A free gap (19) is formed between the free front side of the plate and the neighboring drum front wall.
