PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a main valve element from abrupt valve displacement in a valve opening or closing direction. SOLUTION: This steam trap includes a main valve element 24 which opens and closes a main valve opening 18 which communicates an inlet 4 with an outlet 6, a piston 26 as a pressure corresponding member which is connected to the main valve element 24, a first pressure camber 29 and a second pressure chamber 31 which are air-tightly partitioned by the piston 26, a pilot path 14 which communicates the inlet 4 with the first pressure chamber 29, a float 13 as a pilot valve which opens and closes the inlet 4 side end of the pilot path 14, a first orifice 32 which communicates the second pressure chamber 31 with the outlet 6, a second orifice 25 which communicates with the second pressure chamber 31 via a larger passage area than that of the first orifice 32 at the position where the main valve body 24 is closed and permits the area of steam passage in the second pressure chamber 31 to decrease more than that in the first orifice 32 as the main valve element 24 displaces itself in the opening direction, and a third orifice 39 which communicates with the outlet 6 at the position where the main valve element 24 is opened and permits the area of steam passage to the outside 6 side to decrease as the main valve element 24 displaces itself in the closing direction.
